Powerhouse International is a Brisbane-based company that specialises in freight forwarding and customs clearance internationally. They had several SEO companies before making the switch to SEO Summer. Primarily the reason was that they were not seeing results.
Powerhouse was stuck on the bottom of the first page and on the second page of Google for their primary keywords, freight forwarders Brisbane and customs brokers Brisbane respectively.
Work began August 2023, and results have been incredible, making for a great SEO case study.

The Goal
The goal was to rank in Google for freight forwarding and customs broker terms as well as come up with creative strategies to gain new leads.
Our SEO agency within 2 months was able to rank Powerhouse International number 1 for freight forwarding brisbane. We also placed them in the top 3 for customs broker brisbane by month 5.
How Did We Get the Rankings Up So Quickly?
The crux of what was done for this campaign was On-page work paired with highly relevant and authoritative backlinks. When we first started the homepage, which was supposed to be ranking for freight forwarders brisbane only had 1 mention of this term. By increasing the frequency and adding other relevant content, we made a huge difference in the rankings without touching backlinks.
Powerhouse also had another page titled customs clearance. Although this was not a bad keyword to go after, customs brokers brisbane had significantly more volume. This page was changed - we made sure the url, headings tags and meta matched the keyword, customs brokers brisbane. By pushing several quality backlinks to this page we were able to hit position 4.
