ServiceQ
Education SEO Case study
BIT OF BACKGROUND
ServiceQ is an educational training provider based in Melbourne that specialises in corporate education.
Although ServiceQ provides many complex educational trainings, we needed to couple this with search volume. What were people actually searching for? This led us to do extensive keyword research, and find an effective keyword strategy that summarised ServiceQ’s complex offerings into their simplest forms.
By studying top ranking competitors, we were able to incorporate optimised keyword volumes and the right SEO entities to contextualise the pages for Google, allowing us to achieve position 1 rankings for the primary keyword in just month 3, making for a great education SEO case study.

The Goal
The goal was to rank in Google for customer service training related keywords and increase organic traffic
Our SEO agency came up with a strategy to rank for generic customer service training related terms as well as location based terms that followed the format of ‘customer service training + X city’
HOW DID WE GET THE RANKINGS UP?
The most difficult part of this project was keyword research and mapping. Once we uncovered the appropriate keywords to use for the offerings of ServiceQ, it was a matter of finding a creative SEO strategy that would capture the most volume. In this case it was to use programmatic SEO to create city pages for the main types of corporate training offered.
This, in conjunction with competitor research that identified the optimal keyword densities and SEO entities to use in the pages, resulted in 1st/2nd page rankings across many generic and location based terms with hardly any backlinks.

For The Same Budget…
You could be getting much better results for the fraction of the cost of Google Ads and Facebook Ads by investing in SEO.
Each time someone clicks your ad, you are paying usually between $1 – $10, depending on the industry. Many of the people clicking it don’t even intend to buy. Bots and competitors can hike up your costs even more!
Although SEO takes some time to take off, in the long run it’s much more cost effective.
SEO VS GOOGLE & FACEBOOK ADS
Unlike other forms of marketing, such as Google Ads, SEO cost does not go up when people click on your website. This is a massive benefit from a cost-analysis point of view, and makes SEO much more scalable.
